What travels best
The whole and half chickens are built for the box: slow-cooked meat holds its juice, and the sides (corn cob, coleslaw, grilled vegetables, apple sauce) are exactly as good at home. Vleminckx fries go into the bag hot; a minute in a hot oven at home restores full glory. Order a home made sauce or two, they ride along in pots.

Walking distance? Order and pick it up yourself at Voetboogstraat 6-8, daily 16:00 to 21:30. You get the smell of the rotisserie as a bonus, and the Flower Market route home is two minutes.
