Tables set with red-checkered napkins at The Chicken Bar

Group dinner in the centre of Amsterdam

Feeding a group in the city centre usually means compromise. A table full of whole chickens and sharing sides is the opposite of compromise.

Why chicken works for groups

Nobody argues with rotisserie chicken. The menu is short and shareable: whole chickens (1200 gr / 42 oz, 27.50) for the middle of the table, sides at 6.00 each, Vleminckx fries for everyone. No individual mains to negotiate, no waiting for the one risotto.

The group formula

Count one whole chicken per two to three people, one side per person, fries for all. Start the table with pulled chicken tacos and wings while everyone arrives. Vegetarians in the group are covered by the veggie burger option and the sides. Desserts are 7.50 and dangerously good after chicken.

Drinks for a long table

Draft Heineken by the glass or by the pitcher (19.50), IJwit for the beer-curious, gin tonics and cocktails for the rest. The playlist is on Spotify and the neon does the ambience.

Book it properly

Groups need chairs together, so reserve ahead: book online via the booking form or TheFork, the only two ways we take reservations (not by phone or WhatsApp). Your reservation is final once the confirmation email lands. Questions first? The contact page has all the routes.
